About The Position

The Healthcare IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, implementation, and successful delivery of complex healthcare technology initiatives for federal healthcare clients. This role serves as the primary liaison between government stakeholders, clinical leadership, business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including: At least 2 years Healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, project/program management, client relationship management and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience.
  • At least 6 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
  • Experience managing Healthcare IT projects supporting federal government agencies or government contractors.
  • Experience working within highly regulated healthcare environments.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders across government, contractor, and vendor organizations.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting and customer governance reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex Healthcare IT projects supporting federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS), or other federal healthcare organizations.
  • Manage projects within government contractual requirements, performance metrics, and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with federal governance processes, security requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Coordinate across multiple government stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, and vendor organizations.
  • Support executive briefings, customer reviews, milestone decision meetings, and program governance.
  • Manage project deliverables in accordance with contractual obligations and customer expectations.
  • Understand the unique challenges associated with federal healthcare modernization programs, including large-scale, multi-year implementations.

  • Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position.
