About The Position

Forcepoint is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, AI & Business Transformation to drive significant improvements in their operating model. This role is crucial for closing the gap between business needs and technological capabilities by redesigning processes end-to-end and implementing AI-driven workflows on the Forcepoint Intelligence Platform. The Senior Principal Engineer will act as the most senior technical authority, influencing outcomes through architecture, invention, and technical judgment. This individual contributor role has enterprise-wide scope and reports to the VP, AI & Business Transformation. The position involves setting the technical vision for data foundations, process redesign, and agentic systems, leveraging the existing Forcepoint Intelligence Platform and AWS/Bedrock. The goal is to transform point solutions into a coherent, reusable agentic system that continuously improves.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in software engineering, architecture, or platform development.
  • Sustained track record of operating at the most senior technical levels (Principal, Distinguished Engineer, Fellow, or equivalent).
  • Influencing outcomes across an enterprise rather than a single team.
  • Demonstrated mastery of enterprise, application, and data architecture, including designing systems that span multiple business domains, integrate disparate platforms, and operate reliably at scale.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in AI-first and agentic engineering, designing and delivering production systems built around LLMs, agents, and orchestrated tooling.
  • Proven ability to move agentic work from proof-of-concept to dependable, governed production.
  • Proven experience translating complex, cross-functional business processes into engineered systems.
  • Deep, hands-on command of AWS, including Amazon Bedrock for model access and agentic delivery.
  • Expertise in modern platform engineering: scalability, performance, observability, and cost optimization at enterprise scale.
  • A history of measurable business impact (compressed delivery cycles, material cost reduction, productivity multipliers, or revenue enablement attributable to technical leadership).
  • Exceptional ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to move between executive business framing and deep technical detail.
  • Dual-altitude capability: able to engage senior stakeholders on strategy and stay hands-on building alongside engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Granted patents or other recognized technical invention demonstrating original contribution to the field.
  • Experience instrumenting enterprise KPI frameworks and benefits-realization tracking in partnership with Finance.
  • Background spanning regulated or security-conscious environments, with fluency in governance frameworks (ITIL, ISO, or equivalent).
  • Experience building or scaling internal developer platforms, MCP-style connector ecosystems, or reusable Skills/agent libraries.
  • Track record establishing engineering operating mechanisms and metrics-driven practices (e.g., DORA) that durably raise reliability and velocity.
  • Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience operating across globally distributed teams and multi-region delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Set the cross-pillar technical vision, owning the end-to-end architectural vision that connects sensing, redesign, and delivery into a single compounding loop.
  • Architect the agentic delivery layer, defining how redesigned processes become production-grade AI agents, Skills, and tooling on the Forcepoint Intelligence Platform.
  • Build AI-first capability on AWS and Bedrock, establishing the cloud and model foundation for scalable, observable, and cost-efficient services.
  • Translate process redesign into engineered outcomes, owning the technical design from trigger through orchestration to benefits realization.
  • Prove value through high-leverage quick wins that build organizational confidence and convert into durable, scalable architecture.
  • Strengthen the sensing foundation by shaping data architecture, KPI instrumentation, and benefits-realization tracking.
  • Drive technical governance for AI, partnering with stakeholders to define responsible AI application across elevated flows.
  • Establish reusable standards and patterns to accelerate delivery and raise the bar for quality, reliability, and velocity.
  • Act as a force multiplier by mentoring engineers, AI Ambassadors, and functional teams, and elevating the collective technical capability.
  • Operate as an individual contributor with enterprise-wide technical authority, influencing and aligning functional leaders and engineering teams.
  • Partner closely with leadership to drive technical priorities across the enterprise.
  • Build reusable architecture and engineering patterns that compound across regions, functions, and future initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and outcome-based engineering execution.

Benefits

  • Bonuses
  • Paid time off policy
  • Many region-specific benefits
