About The Position

The Senior Principal, Debt is a senior deal leader on Crux’s Debt Business Management team within Capital Solutions, reporting to the Head of Debt. The role leads a portfolio of debt mandates from indication of interest (IOI) through close across debt origination, debt advisory, and debt attached to tax equity and preferred equity structures. Products include construction, term, and back-leverage facilities; tax equity and credit bridge loans; equipment financing; and green bonds and securitization. The Senior Principal serves as primary negotiator and senior execution lead, taking responsibility for transaction diligence, structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing to institutional standards. The role owns transaction velocity and close rates, contributes to revenue and P&L targets, prepares credit memoranda and pricing recommendations, and presents transactions to Credit Committee. It also leads and mentors junior deal-team members and works closely with lenders, institutional capital providers, Industry Coverage, Investments, Structuring, Product, and Engineering. The position contributes to the development of debt products and repeatable execution processes, including adoption of AI-enabled modeling and automation and prioritization of transaction tools. It also represents Crux in industry discussions and events. Crux describes its operating model as remote-first, with work from anywhere in the US and Canada or from optional offices in DC, NYC, and SF. The company emphasizes a high-growth, high-ownership culture and a clean-energy mission.
