About The Position

The Senior Presales Consultant for Value Chain Optimization is a key role in contributing to the growth of the AVEVA Applications and Operations business within the Americas region, providing outstanding Technical and Business Sales and consultancy engagement for AVEVA solutions and/or other supported client software. This position will require travel, at times with short notice, to an AVEVA office, distribution channel office, or customer location, anywhere in the region. The job holder will be assigned a Subject Matter Expert role in the Value Chain Optimization & Operations solution domain.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with 8+ years' experience with Value Chain Optimization and Operations industrial solutions including but not limited to Supply Chain, Planning & Scheduling (experience in implementation of both Planning and Scheduling solutions preferred), Process Simulation & Optimization, Real-Time Optimization & Production Accounting.
  • Understanding and experience with Advanced Process Controls and Tank Management are also considerations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to establish a trusted rapport with both customers, highly developed interpersonal skills, lucid communicator, excellent writing skills

Responsibilities

  • Enable and drive sales growth through the AVEVA Value Chain Optimization portfolio with a focus on Hydrocarbon Supply Chain, Process Optimization and Production Accounting.
  • Communicate the value proposition of our solutions to prospects or partners, at presentations, industry events and seminars.
  • Contribute to the planning, creation, development, and delivery of demonstrations that prove the value of our solutions.
  • Engage with prospects through a consultative approach using standard AVEVA Sales methodologies to understand specific needs/problems, and lead/contribute to the development of appropriate technical business solutions.
  • Contribute to the planning, creation, organizing and execution of Proof of Capability presentations and demonstrations to prospects that “prove and confirm” the value of our technical solution to their specific needs/problems.
  • Work alone or with teams to develop and present demo solution platforms.
