About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, results driven Construction Estimating Manager to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts across projects within or Design Manufacture Construct (DMC) delivery model. This role is responsible for driving accurate pricing, managing risk, leading value engineering efforts, and supporting business development while partnering closely with design, manufacturing, and construction teams.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years experience in construction or preconstruction estimating.
  • Strong experience with estimating, scheduling, and project management tools.
  • Ability to lead meetings, presentations, and client interactions with confidence.
  • Ability to build relationships, earn trust, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, cost control, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage estimating efforts to drive competitive, accurate project pricing.
  • Assign and oversee estimating tasks for support staff based on project needs and timelines.
  • Develop detailed estimates, cost models, and basis of estimates including assumptions and qualifications.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, and work plans for self-perform scopes (e.g., concrete, carpentry).
  • Prepare estimates across all phases (conceptual, schematic, design development, GMP).
  • Conduct risk analysis and clearly communicate findings to leadership.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies aligned with company goals and profitability targets.
  • Lead value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize project outcomes.
  • Coordinate closely with Design Manufacture Construction, MEP, BIM, and Operations teams.
  • Support change management estimating and monitor scope changes impacting cost and schedule.
  • Maintain and enhance estimating databases, including Bills of Materials.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handoff from preconstruction to operations.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, presentations, and new work acquisition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Participate in contract review, negotiations, and final GMP pricing with clients.
  • Monitor department performance, improving accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of estimates.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements.
