Senior Power BI Project Manager
About The Position
The Project Manager oversees reporting and analytics efforts relating to dashboard development, working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management to deliver actionable data insights through Power BI solutions. The role ensures cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that support key KPI tracking. The successful candidate has strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, is a self-starter who identifies and implements creative solutions to complex problems, and demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and analytical ability. The position also contributes to developing new reporting tools and procedures, requires understanding of manufacturing processes and methods, and involves working in a fast-paced environment, including public speaking and creating formal presentations. The role is based in an office/cubicle work environment.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the job area, typically with a specialty within the discipline.
- May have broad knowledge of project management.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; alternatively, a graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support manufacturing and operational performance.
- Create and maintain data models, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Develop DAX measures and calculations to support KPI tracking and business reporting.
- Build and maintain Power Query transformations and data preparation processes.
- Create visualizations and reporting solutions that support business decision-making.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into reporting solutions.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and maintain reporting governance standards.
- Optimize Power BI reports and data models for performance and scalability.
- Write SQL queries to support data extraction, transformation, and reporting needs.
- Monitor and report on key operational, financial, and schedule metrics.
- Ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects.
