About The Position

The Office of Sponsored Programs, a department under the Division of Research and Innovation at UNT Health, provides pre-award, post-award, and contract services to support faculty and other investigators while promoting compliance with federal and state agencies, private sponsor agreements, and UNT Health research policies.

The Senior Post Award Analyst will work closely with internal program staff, assessing in long term strategy, operation and re-allocation of grants. Monitor, analyze and reports variances, expenditure and trends. Develops cost and funding analysis. Monitors compliance with grand funding regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to engage and influence faculty; maintain a broad network of internal working relationships.
• Ability to have up to date knowledge of applicable law and federal, state, institutional, and sponsor guidelines, including but not limited to FARS, DFARS, 2 CFR 200, and UGMS.
• Demonstrates respect and understanding for established guidelines and protocols, while seeking clarification when instructions are unclear to prevent created challenges for colleagues.
• Ensures smooth transition of important information from one person or department to another.

• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) or working towards certification

Responsibilities

• Initiate ProjID award setup in EIS System/PeopleSoft upon receipt of Notice of Grant Awards.
• Review and approve expenditures, including but not limited to ePro requisitions for purchases, Pcard transactions, travel reimbursements, and approve ePARs for payroll allocation requests on sponsored research projects.
• Work with Principal Investigators and Department Administrators, reconciling budgets for awards, reviewing and approving requests for rebudgets, progress report submissions and no cost extension requests.
• Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding award management to include budget concerns, account status, carry forward requests, and subsequent years of funding.
• Liaison between the Sponsor and PI/Department Research Administrator for items requiring prior sponsor approval via email, phone calls or sponsor electronic websites for requests submissions.
• Provide training as needed to PIs/Department Research Administrators.
