About The Position

Passage Health is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to own the foundational infrastructure that its engineering team builds on. This is a largely greenfield role focused on defining the platform and tooling needed to support the company’s AI efforts, including environments and test harnesses that enable AI agents to safely exercise and validate system behavior. The position reports directly to the founder and CTO and will make high-leverage decisions about infrastructure, CI/CD, and developer experience while setting standards for the engineering team. The engineer will design and manage reproducible, reviewable, scalable cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform on AWS; own infrastructure end to end; improve GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines; and help keep the platform secure, observable, and dependable as the product and team grow. The role also involves setting infrastructure standards and partnering across engineering with a strong understanding of the product.

Requirements

Proven experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps/SRE engineering, including building and running production systems at scale.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform and AWS, and a code-first approach to managing infrastructure.
Deep experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working day to day in GitHub.
Experience building and running production services in Node.js and TypeScript.
Comfort working across languages and picking up new tools as needed.
Strong product sense and understanding of how infrastructure decisions shape the product and its users.
Ability to thrive with autonomy and greenfield ambiguity, taking end-to-end ownership in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

Design and manage cloud infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS, keeping it reproducible, reviewable, and ready to scale.
Own infrastructure end to end and make greenfield decisions shaping the platform and engineering tooling.
Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub so engineers can ship quickly, safely, and often.
