About The Position

The Senior Plant Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting, including reviewing financial statements, tracking KPIs, and preparing detailed reports to assess company performance and support strategic decisions. This role participates in the annual budgeting process, 5-year business plan, and prepares regular financial forecasts by collaborating with various department heads. The analyst will also support PC/APC with standard costing for new products and annual standards, maintain and distribute reporting records of operational expenses and inventories, and serve as a reporting unit liaison with the central PTP team. Additionally, the role involves reconciling supplier statements, preparing account reconciliations, monitoring and reconciling intercompany transactions, and supporting month-end closing activities. The analyst will also identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and policies, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and validate the accuracy of financial data. Additional responsibilities include participating in function-related meetings, serving as proxy to the Assistant Controller, and supporting physical inventories. Common requirements for all employees include understanding and meeting International Operating System (IOS), Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, Compliance, and Information Security requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree in Business Administration, Finance/ Controlling (Accounting, Finance, Controlling, etc.), Economics or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
  • 5-9 Minimum Years of Experience with accounting, finance and/or other related areas.
  • 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
  • Must be able and willing to work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Capacity to evaluate business scenarios, assess risks, and propose solutions aligned with company objectives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel Intermediate (lookup, pivot, etc., PowerPoint
  • Able to work in a team and rigorous and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to relay technical accounting information to cross functional team members not working in Finance and Accounting roles.
  • Internally motivated to investigate and solve issues.
  • English (Fluency with Reading, Writing, Speaking)

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing financial statements, tracking KPIs, and preparing detailed reports to assess company performance and support strategic decisions.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, 5-year business plan and prepare regular financial forecasts by collaborating with various department heads.
  • Support PC/APC with standard costing process for new products and annual standards.
  • Maintain and distribute reporting records of operational expenses (including scrap, purchase burden, expenses) and inventories in a timely manner.
  • Serve as reporting unit liaison with central PTP team to resolve receiving, AP invoice, payment issues, including PAT, ICT and ROSE transactions.
  • Reconcile supplier statements as needed.
  • Prepare account reconciliations monthly with proper supporting documentation and input in systems for Plant Controller review.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions with partner sites ensuring not out of balance conditions in month end reporting.
  • Support Plant Controller/Asst. Plant Controller in month end closing activities, prepare MEC journal entries, analysis.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to financial processes and policies to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure financial reporting and practices comply with accounting standards and relevant government regulations.
  • Review and validate the accuracy of accounting transactions and financial data used in analysis and reporting.
  • Participate with operational staff in all function-related meetings.
  • Serve as proxy to Assistant Controller
  • Support plant SCM with physical inventories annually.
  • Obtain requisitioner confirmation of receipt of indirect goods and services and complete corresponding purchase order receipt in ERP system
