  • Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram is crucial.
  • Proficiency working within Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to advanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social.
  • Comfort owning and managing budget/investment levels in social media.

Responsibilities

  • Develop proposals for paid social media campaigns.
  • Create and present media-specific documents such as RFPs, media plans, and strategy decks.
  • Analyze proposals and negotiate with partners.
  • Maintain vendor meeting communication and update internal status documents.
  • Maintain team deliverables calendars.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal buying and reporting tools, including platform interfaces and native tools.
  • Support measurement planning, pixel generation, and third-party ad tracking with manager direction.
  • Traffic plan assets, including creative and tracking tags.
  • Create post-launch campaign information such as screenshots, links, and placement details.
  • Generate insertion orders within internal systems and ensure accuracy of plan details and delivery confirmation.
  • Set up client Paid Social campaigns.
  • Anticipate and respond to requests from internal teams and clients.
  • Maintain active communication with internal client roster teams to manage timelines and meetings.
  • Partner and build relationships with other internal teams (e.g., Analytics, Digital).
  • Participate in larger team projects with supervisor oversight.
  • Contribute to the development of junior team members by training Assistant Planners and Planners.
  • Participate in the interview process for Assistant/Planner roles.
  • Monitor pacing and optimizations of active social campaigns daily.
  • Generate high-level performance insights and recommendations.
  • Manage client roster reporting on campaign performance and proactively communicate issues.
  • Engage in new and emerging opportunities in paid social media environments.
  • Take ownership of completing and monitoring internal team and client-facing financial tracking documents.
  • Manage and execute Quality Assurance (QA) of tracking functionality and creative units.
  • Provide education on best practices, social media principles, and the industry.
  • Build campaigns and posts via Paid Social platforms and third-party buying tools with oversight.
  • Attend agency learning sessions and vendor meetings.
  • Participate in internal learning and development opportunities (e.g., Facebook Blueprint, Twitter Flight School).
