About The Position

BlueDot Cares is launching in Chapel Hill and Durham, and is hiring a founding Senior Placement Advisor to build the market. This is a field sales role for someone who loves being out in the community, building referral relationships, touring families through senior living communities, and guiding them through one of the hardest decisions they'll ever make. The role involves owning the placement business in Chapel Hill / Durham, building relationships with hospitals, rehabs, home health, hospice, physicians, and senior living communities to generate placement moves. The advisor will also tour families through partner communities, help them choose with confidence, and bring new communities into the partner network.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B sales or healthcare referral experience.
  • Hunter mentality.
  • Comfort touring buildings with families and reading the room — balancing empathy with sales discipline.
  • Comfort in clinical environments (hospitals, rehabs, ALFs).
  • Ownership mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior living, home care, hospice, or medical sales experience.
  • Experience negotiating partnership or agreement terms.

Responsibilities

  • Make 10–15 in-person referral calls per day to hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, MC, ILFs, home health, hospice, geriatric physicians, elder law attorneys.
  • Execute the 52 Weeks Marketing System: weekly routes, monthly themes, consistent follow-up.
  • Tour families through our partner communities, meeting them at the building, walking the property, asking the right questions, and helping them make a confident decision.
  • Manage the family experience end-to-end: intake, options, tours, decision support, move-in.
  • Sign new partner communities to placement agreements, pitching BlueDot, negotiating fee terms, and bringing new buildings into our network.

Benefits

  • Base salary: $45,000
  • Year 1 target (ramp year): $85,000
  • Fully ramped compensation: $110,000–$130,000 (base + uncapped per-placement commission).
