Requirements

  • Registered with the GPhC
  • Comprehensive experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting
  • Comprehensive experience of supervising/ training/ assessing students or staff
  • A postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Act as an independent prescriber to optimise patient care
  • Provide expert clinical advice and medicines optimisation to the multidisciplinary team
  • Lead and participate in audit, research, and quality improvement projects
  • Provide training, supervision, and education to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver and develop specialist clinical pharmacy services for Acute & Emergency Medicine
  • Monitor, analyse, and manage medicines expenditure and support cost‑improvement initiatives
