About The Position

SimplePractice is looking for a Senior Performance Copywriter, Paid Media who lives at the intersection of high-level brand storytelling and high-velocity social execution. You aren’t just a writer; you’re a concept engine. You understand that in today’s landscape, a "great" ad isn’t just grammatically correct—it’s thumb-stopping, platform-native, and strategically undeniable. You will partner closely with our Paid Media team and Art Directors to turn complex product features into human-centric, high-converting video and social content. This role is for a seasoned writer who has a strong creative POV, thrives on autonomy, and knows how to build creative systems that scale.

Requirements

  • Experienced – You have 5+ years of performance marketing or creative strategy experience (in-house or agency), with a heavy concentration in paid social and digital video.
  • Platform-native – You have an instinctive grasp of the visual and verbal languages that drive engagement across fragmented social feeds.
  • Autonomous & proactive – Ambiguity doesn't slow you down; you take full ownership of projects and can navigate tight deadlines with minimal hand-holding.
  • Data-informed – You’re a natural performance thinker who views metrics as a spark for big ideas, not a ceiling on creativity.
  • High-velocity – You thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in maintaining a high bar for quality even when outputting a large volume of scripts.
  • Collaborative – Your default mode is a tight Art + Copy + Stakeholder partnership where ideas are built in lockstep.
  • Forward-thinking – You’re excited to co-pilot creative ideation with AI tools and willing to test bold or unconventional approaches.
  • A portfolio showcasing high-performing social campaigns, video scripts, and conceptual brand work.
  • Proven experience in performance creative—you can speak to how your creative choices influenced specific business outcomes.
  • Exceptional self-editing skills, with a focus on brevity and punchiness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on-set at video productions (directing experience is a major plus).

Responsibilities

  • Concept at scale: Generate a high-volume of distinct, conceptual hooks and scripts for every brief, moving quickly from ideation to execution.
  • Write for the scroll: Craft high-performing scripts for TikTok, Meta, and YouTube that feel native to each platform.
  • Own the set: Provide script direction on-set during video shoots to ensure the tone, pacing, and energy are captured perfectly.
  • Rapid creative iteration: Use performance data as a springboard to pitch out-of-the-box creative tests that challenge the status quo.
  • Manage the production lifecycle: Partner with video editors and motion designers to oversee the post-production of your concepts.
  • Audit & Iterate: Regularly review creative performance with the Paid Media team to identify "winners" and rapidly script 2.0 and 3.0 versions.
  • Stay socially fluent: Maintain a deep understanding of current social trends, audio hooks, and visual formats to keep our ads feeling fresh.
  • Simplify the complex: Humanize our SaaS platform by translating technical features into simple, resonant "a-ha" moments for clinicians.
