Senior PeopleSoft GL and KK Architect
About The Position
This role is for a Senior PeopleSoft GL and KK Architect with extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, specifically within General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK). The architect will have a deep understanding of ledger configurations, budget structures, and transactional processing frameworks. While working on the functional team, advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting is required. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of cross-module integration points and experience with various PeopleSoft functionalities including budget and GL journals, business unit configuration, and external application integrations. The role also involves production support, lifecycle testing, and writing enhancement documentation. Experience with a large Government enterprise solution is desired.
Requirements
- Extensive expertise in PeopleSoft FIN 9.2, specifically within General Ledger (GL) and Commitment Control (KK).
- Deep understanding of ledger configurations, budget structures, and transactional processing frameworks.
- Advanced technical proficiency in PeopleSoft development and troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cross-module integration points, including GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense.
- Experience with creating and entering Budget and GL Journals.
- Experience with Journal life cycle.
- Experience configuring new Business Units, Combo edits, Chart fields, Trees, etc.
- Experience with PeopleSoft architectures with external applications.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft application engines.
- Proficient using Application Designer.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient at PS Query.
- Knowledge with PeopleSoft tables and structures for research and analysts.
- Experience with production support, including issue triage, defect resolution and incident management.
- Comprehensive PeopleSoft lifecycle testing experience (i.e., vouchering, purchasing, GL journal posting, accounts receivable processing).
- Deep knowledge of test sequencing, data staging, and end-to-end business process validation.
- Experience writing enhancement documentation which includes and not limited to requirements gathering, business analyst, configuration, identifying tables and code changes, test conditions, business risks, and alternative options.
- Must be on call 24/7.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of cross-module integration points, including GL, AP, AR, Purchasing, Billing, and Travel & Expense with emphasis on interdependency workflows and integration touchpoints.
- Create and enter Budget and GL Journals as well as manage the Journal life cycle.
- Configure new Business Units, Combo edits, Chart fields, Trees, etc.
- Work with PeopleSoft architectures with external applications.
- Work with PeopleSoft application engines.
- Utilize Application Designer proficiently.
- Lead functional design discussions and technical solution walkthroughs.
- Utilize PS Query proficiently.
- Research and analyze PeopleSoft tables and structures.
- Provide production support, including issue triage, defect resolution, and incident management.
