About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior People Operations Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. This role will have primary responsibility for payroll processing and benefits administration while also supporting the broader day to day needs of the People & Culture function. This is a hands on role for someone who understands that great People Operations requires both accuracy and a strong employee experience. You will work closely with the Director of People & Culture and serve as a trusted resource for employees while helping ensure our payroll, benefits, HR systems, and employee processes run smoothly. Hands on Rippling payroll processing experience is required for this position.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive Human Resources, People Operations, payroll, benefits, or related experience.
  • 3+ years hands on Rippling payroll processing experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience independently preparing and processing payroll within Rippling.
  • Experience reviewing and auditing payroll prior to submission and resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Hands on benefits administration experience.
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems beyond basic employee self service functionality.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and HR administration.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment and payroll requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage recurring deadlines, particularly payroll and benefit deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Ability to shift priorities and provide support across different areas of People & Culture when needed.

  • Experience with payroll reconciliations, benefit invoice reconciliations, and HR data audits.
  • Experience using Rippling across multiple People functions including payroll, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, reporting, and employee management.
  • SHRM CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the preparation and processing of global payroll through Rippling, ensuring payroll is accurate and completed according to established deadlines.
  • Conduct pre payroll audits to identify discrepancies and ensure employee information, compensation, deductions, and payroll data are accurate before submission.
  • Review post payroll reports and assist with payroll reconciliation.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll questions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation and records.
  • Partner with Finance and other internal stakeholders on payroll related matters as needed.
  • Support year end payroll activities and required reporting.
  • Help ensure payroll practices remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support the day to day administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other company sponsored benefits.
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations accurately and timely.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and general benefit questions.
  • Partner with benefit brokers, carriers, and vendors to resolve enrollment and coverage issues.
  • Support annual Open Enrollment, including employee communications, system setup, enrollment activities, and post enrollment audits.
  • Review payroll deductions against benefit elections to help ensure accuracy.
  • Support benefit invoice reconciliation, eligibility audits, and other benefit related reporting.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, employee changes, promotions, transfers, and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate employee information and documentation within Rippling and other People systems.
  • Process employee changes and ensure information is accurately reflected across applicable HR, payroll, and benefit systems.
  • Prepare employment related documentation and employee correspondence.
  • Maintain confidential and organized employee records.
  • Respond to employee questions and provide timely, professional support.
  • Support HR reporting, workforce data, and regular employee data audits.
  • Assist with leave administration and employee documentation as needed.
  • Support compliance activities and required HR documentation.
  • Provide recruiting support as needed, including interview coordination, candidate communication, offer documentation, background checks, and pre employment activities.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure employees are properly established within Rippling and other applicable systems.
  • Partner with hiring managers and internal teams to provide a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding communications as needed.
