About The Position

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations for our U.S. employees. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing, reconcile payroll accounts, troubleshoot system issues, and serve as a key partner to internal teams and employees. Your expertise will help enhance our payroll systems and processes, contributing directly to operational efficiency and employee satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thrives in a collaborative environment, and brings both precision and initiative to their work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent payroll-related education/training
  • 5–7+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
  • Strong understanding of multijurisdictional payroll tax laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles related to payroll
  • Demonstrated ability to audit and reconcile payroll data for accuracy and compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday Payroll
  • FPC certification (Fundamental Payroll Certification)

Responsibilities

  • Process regular and off cycle U.S. payroll, including collecting inputs, performing calculations, and ensuring timely, accurate payments.
  • Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies, federal and state regulations, and tax requirements, including timely tax payments and filings.
  • Serve as a backup to team members and support knowledge sharing across the payroll function.
  • Maintain and enhance process documentation; recommend improvements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and system optimization.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly and professionally to employee and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support payroll-related initiatives, reporting, and projects.
