About The Position

Inputs and releases for payment hours worked and/or salary due based on current payroll system data and ensures accounting distribution. Reviews and processes changes (tax coding, allowances, deductions, direct deposit) to computerized payroll system. May also assist with government reporting and statutory compliance. This role will initially support training stores on payroll processing, with the long-term goal of taking on additional pay groups. Processes Papa Johns Food Service payroll. This will include hourly and Transportation payroll. Workday experience a plus. For multiple markets, audits polled timecard data and makes changes/additions/deletions as needed including verifying all stores have polled payroll information or faxed timecard data. Provide customer service and answer questions regarding paycheck, W-2 and related earnings, taxes and deductions following company policies and procedures. Prepares payroll packages and all related correspondence for payroll distribution to field operations. Organize and file payroll records in accordance with retention schedules. Maintain accurate employee data within a computerized payroll system for accurate payment processing. Calculates and processes retroactive payments and deductions based on approved information received. Balances payroll output by verifying confirmed weekly labor report to changed profit report for accuracy of hours and earnings processed and makes necessary corrections.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency in Excel required
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience required
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate, inform, and influence senior leaders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally on multiple initiatives with a successful record of advancing projects
