About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations for a multi-site U.S. manufacturing organization. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role helps ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of payroll across hourly, salaried, and union populations governed by collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). The Payroll Analyst will partner closely with HR (Corporate and Plant) and the Finance teams and serve as a reliable resource for employees with payroll questions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-site or multi-entity environment
  • Experience in manufacturing or a similarly complex, multi-entity payroll environment
  • Familiarity with union payroll and CBA interpretation
  • Proficiency with ADP payroll systems, ADP Lyric preferred; experience supporting multi-state payroll
  • Strong understanding of federal and state wage, hour, and payroll tax regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills; exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with time and attendance systems in a manufacturing environment (Kronos preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service orientation, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, accurate payroll processing across weekly and bi‑weekly cycles for ~1,700 hourly, salaried, and union employees at ~20 locations
  • Apply pay rules, shift differentials, overtime, and CBA‑driven premiums with precision
  • Process garnishments, deductions, multi‑state tax withholding, and support year‑end tasks (W‑2s, ACA)
  • Maintain data integrity in ADP Lyric; enter and verify employee pay changes in partnership with HR and Operations
  • Prepare, reconcile, and deliver payroll reports to Finance and HR
  • Support compliance with federal/state wage and hour laws (FLSA, state regulations)
  • Assist with payroll‑related audits (union, workers’ comp, tax)
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, resolving routine issues and escalating complex matters
  • Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to workflow optimization, automation, and system enhancements
  • Participate in payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations
