About The Position

The Senior Patient Escort works as an Equipment Pool Assistant, receiving requests for patient-care equipment and supplies and delivering items to and from designated areas. The role uses systems to track hospital and rental equipment for daily inventory, cleaning, and setup, and performs basic equipment repairs. Customer service and meeting customer requests and expectations are primary focuses. The employee must float between all UCI Health locations as needed.

Requirements

• Skill in performing basic mathematical computations.
• Ability to use general office equipment, including computers, copiers, and calculators.
• Required to float to all UCI Health locations as needed.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques.
• Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to work overtime as dictated by patient-care demands.
• Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience in a patient-care or hospital setting.
