As a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal at Goodwin, you will have the opportunity to work with attorneys on public and private M&A transactions of all types in the real estate sector, including large-scale strategic public company M&A in all asset classes, buy-side and sell-side leveraged buyouts, management-led buyouts, strategic large-scale portfolio acquisitions, and special committee representation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of experience working in commercial real estate with a focus on titles & survey matters requires
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Capability of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to work well in a team- oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Reviews title commitments, title exception documents, and surveys
  • Prepares title and survey summaries
  • Communicates with attorneys and title agents regarding title issues and assisting with the negotiation of title insurance policy coverage.
  • Assists with diligence on commercial real estate closings and conducting research on property through, and obtaining documents from various Registries of Deeds and the Land Court, as applicable
  • Assists with transactions including drafting and compiling transaction documents, forming corporate entities, preparing closing checklists and tracking completion of checklist items; and, preparing closing binders
