Senior Paid Media Manager

PRIME Corporate ServicesMurray, UT
$115,000 - $140,000Onsite

About The Position

PRIME Corporate Services is seeking a Senior Paid Media Manager to own paid customer acquisition across every channel we buy. Reporting to the VP of Growth Marketing, this person is accountable for the performance of our paid media program: Google Search, Meta, and the emerging channels we have not built yet. You will own the accounts day to day, run the testing roadmap, own the conversion tracking that tells us whether any of it worked, and decide where the next dollar should go. Accountability in this role does not stop at the booked consultation. Working closely with the Sales team, you are also responsible for the quality of the traffic we buy and the orders it ultimately produces. Volume that does not convert is not a win here, and a channel that looks efficient on cost per lead but poor on closed business is a problem you are expected to find and fix. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You will build the campaigns, write the ad copy, brief Design on creative, implement the tracking with Engineering support, and read the results yourself. Analytical rigor is central to the role. A large share of this job is deciding what a number actually means: whether a CPA movement is signal or noise, whether a test has run long enough to read, whether a platform's reported conversions reflect real revenue. The best people in this seat are comfortable being the one who says the data does not support that conclusion yet, and equally comfortable acting decisively once it does. A significant part of this role is expansion. Paid channels are proliferating faster than most teams can evaluate them, and we want someone who can design a real test for a new platform, run it with discipline, and tell us honestly whether to scale it or kill it. That includes AI-native inventory like ChatGPT Ads, where the targeting and optimization levers are limited and results depend far more on offer clarity and clean measurement than on platform sophistication. You will own how and where our paid budget gets deployed. Material shifts to the total go through an approval step, but the channel mix, the strategy behind it, and the calls about what we test and where we scale are yours to drive.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years managing paid media budgets, in-house or agency side
  • Deep hands-on ownership of Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including building campaigns and account structures from scratch rather than optimizing inside someone else's build
  • Demonstrated experience implementing conversion tracking, including Google Tag Manager, platform conversion APIs, and GA4
  • Experience passing offline conversion data from a CRM back into ad platforms; Salesforce preferred
  • Track record of launching at least one paid channel from zero, including the measurement setup and the decision to scale or shut it down
  • Strong ad copywriting ability; you can write the test, not just brief it
  • Demonstrated experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, including sizing for statistical significance
  • Strong quantitative skills and advanced spreadsheet analysis, with genuine comfort working across large, messy, and conflicting performance datasets
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Looker Studio, or a comparable BI tool preferred
  • Experience marketing to small business owners, solopreneurs, or 1099 earners preferred
  • Experience in a regulated category such as financial services, tax, legal, insurance, or lending preferred
  • Google Ads certifications, particularly Search and Measurement, preferred
  • Meta Blueprint certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with Salesforce reporting and Zapier or comparable automation tooling

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with ChatGPT Ads or other AI-native ad platforms is not required. That inventory is new enough that nobody has deep expertise in it yet. What we are screening for is the ability to learn an unfamiliar platform quickly and evaluate it honestly.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day management of Google Search, Performance Max, and Demand Gen campaigns, plus Meta campaigns across acquisition and retargeting
  • Own account architecture: campaign hierarchy, naming conventions, and account isolation across the Google Ads MCC and parallel Microsoft Advertising structure
  • Own keyword strategy, match type mix, search term mining, and negative keyword management
  • Own audience strategy, including Customer Match list segmentation, lookalike seeding, retargeting lookback windows, and exclusion logic that keeps existing customers out of prospecting campaigns
  • Manage bid strategies and budget pacing, including navigating learning phase thresholds rather than resetting them accidentally
  • Monitor and act on auction diagnostics, impression share loss, creative fatigue, and frequency
  • Maintain an always-on testing roadmap across audiences, creative, ad copy, offers, bid strategies, and landing pages
  • Size tests so results are readable, evaluate them for statistical significance, and resist the pull to call a winner early
  • Maintain a documented testing log in which every test has a stated hypothesis, a primary metric, a sample size target, and a recorded outcome, so learnings compound instead of being relearned every quarter
  • Build your own analysis rather than waiting on a report from someone else, including pulling and reconciling data across ad platforms, GA4, and Salesforce
  • Diagnose performance changes accurately, distinguishing platform volatility and seasonality from a real shift in the business
  • Partner closely with the Sales team on lead quality and close rates, following performance past the click and past the booked consultation through to orders placed, and adjust targeting, offers, and creative based on what actually converts rather than what generates the most volume
  • Identify and evaluate new paid channels and placements against our ICP and unit economics
  • Design channel tests with defined budgets, success criteria, and kill criteria established before any spend goes live
  • Launch and learn in emerging inventory, including AI-native placements, where optimization levers are minimal and first-party data plus offer clarity carry the campaign
  • Make evidence-based scale or kill recommendations and defend them to leadership
  • Write ad copy across search, social, and emerging placements
  • Brief Design on static and video concepts and maintain a creative testing pipeline that does not run dry
  • Partner with Legal on claims review, which matters here: we sell tax strategy, business credit, and estate planning, and advertising claims in those categories carry real regulatory exposure
  • Own conversion tracking end to end with Engineering support, including Google Tag Manager, platform pixels and conversion APIs, and GA4 configuration
  • Own offline conversion value passing from Salesforce back into the ad platforms so bidding algorithms optimize toward qualified pipeline and revenue rather than form fills
  • Define and enforce UTM taxonomy across every campaign and channel
  • Report on CPL, CPA, and CAC against target ceilings, and flag when a channel is drifting past them
  • Understand the limits of platform-reported attribution, and know when a question needs multi-touch attribution, an incrementality holdout, or a statistical inference approach instead
  • Build toward the data foundation required for media mix modeling as spend and channel count grow
  • Own channel allocation strategy and drive the budget decisions across the paid portfolio, with forecasts and scenarios behind each call and approval required for material changes to the total
  • Manage in-month pacing and own flight extension and reallocation decisions
  • Present performance, learnings, and recommendations to marketing and executive leadership on a regular cadence
