About The Position

We're looking for a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing Raleigh team, someone who's excited to lead impactful transportation projects that reflect our mission and values. At no other firm will you be able to work alongside those involved in the authoring and implementation of numerous AASHTO, FHWA, and NCHRP documents, including but not limited to the AASHTO Bike Guide, 5th Edition, upcoming AASHTO Pedestrian Guide, 3rd Edition, and FHWA Guide for Achieving Multimodal Networks. Requirements

• North Carolina Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months
• 10+ years of complex transportation project management experience
• Proven leadership of multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction teams
• Strong networks and relationships in the North Carolina transportation market, including existing clients with the DOT, municipalities, and other consulting firms

Nice To Haves

• Design and project management experience in both multimodal transportation and roadway design projects
• Comfortable presenting on projects and in pursuit interviews

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of highly visible transportation projects.
• Guide civil design teams on temporary and permanent safety improvement projects to multimodal capacity expansion projects with innovative intersection treatments to major capital projects.
• Collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams from concept through construction.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Lead client meetings.
• Turn complex challenges into creative, buildable solutions.
• Support business development across North Carolina.
• Grow as a trusted expert in a company that promotes from within.
