You’ll guide civil design teams on temporary and permanent safety improvement projects to multimodal capacity expansion projects with innovative intersection treatments to major capital projects —collaborating with clients and interdisciplinary teams from concept through construction. Along the way, you’ll mentor junior staff, lead client meetings, and turn complex challenges into creative, buildable solutions. Requirements

  • North Carolina Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within six months
  • 10+ years of complex transportation project management experience
  • Proven leadership of multi-discipline infrastructure design and construction teams
  • Strong networks and relationships in the North Carolina transportation market, including existing clients with the DOT, municipalities, and other consulting firms

Nice To Haves

  • design and project management experience is in both multimodal transportation and roadway design projects
  • comfortable presenting on projects and in pursuit interviews
