This position provides operational leadership to individual contributors and the hourly workforce, ensuring the execution of daily tasks and activities such as driver deliveries, loading/unloading of trailers, cross docking, and customer service operations, all while adhering to company service and cost objectives. The supervisor directly manages most processes, including workforce and equipment scheduling, and is responsible for corrective action and disciplinary decisions up to the written warning level. Involvement in the hiring process and customer meetings is also required. The role includes reviewing truck runs based on account location, volume, costs, customer requirements, and private fleet utilization, as well as identifying additional private fleet opportunities.
