About The Position

Vesta Home (dba Showroom Group) is a leader in changing the way homes are marketed and furniture is sold, focusing on client experience through interior design, luxury staging, furniture rentals, and custom furniture production. Founded in 2017, the company has over 50 designers and partners with top realtors and developers, with work featured in prominent design publications and television shows. This position is for a strategic and results-driven Operations leader to oversee the Los Angeles market. The role involves partnering with Operations Managers to drive market performance in safety, productivity, customer service, and cost/labor efficiency, with ultimate accountability for operational and financial results. The Senior Operations Manager will act as the primary liaison between the LA market and regional/executive leadership, ensuring alignment on business priorities and strategic initiatives. Strong leadership across multiple facilities, fostering operational excellence, and driving accountability are key to meeting financial, service, and operational objectives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in operations, logistics, or warehouse management
  • 5+ years of people-management experience, including experience managing managers
  • Prior experience managing multi-site or multi-facility operations strongly preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, GSuite, Slack, and other inventory/WMS software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to build, standardize, and scale processes across multiple locations
  • Strong executive communication skills; able to represent the market to senior leadership and external partners
  • Experience owning a budget or cost-center with demonstrated financial accountability
  • Ability to lead through others — coaching and developing manager-level direct reports
  • Forward-looking, data-driven focus on transforming/automating workflows and analytics to drive business decisions across a market
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize competing market-wide priorities to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for Operations performance across the entire LA market — including all facilities/locations — partnering with the Operations Manager(s) to set and achieve safety, productivity, customer service, and cost/labor efficiency goals.
  • Own market-level financial performance, including labor budget, staffing plans, contractor/vendor spend, and capital requests; review and approve decisions with cross-facility financial impact.
  • Lead multi-site strategic and capacity planning — volume forecasting, resource allocation, and continuous process improvement initiatives — translating company-wide goals into localized site plans.
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop the Operations Manager(s) and facility leadership, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and succession planning; serve as the escalation point for complex operational, personnel, or safety issues.
  • Own market-wide safety program governance, setting the standards and policies that facility teams execute against, with ultimate accountability for OSHA compliance across the market.
  • Represent the LA market to the Regional Director, executive leadership, and external stakeholders; lead negotiation and management of major vendor, supplier, and 3PL relationships at the market level.
  • Standardize and govern SOPs across all LA facilities to ensure consistency for shared functions, while empowering facility-level leaders to adapt execution to local needs.
  • Lead market-wide workforce planning, including headcount approvals, shift structure, and labor compliance, partnering with HR on organizational design as the market scales.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with Finance, HR, Real Estate, and other business partners on initiatives affecting the LA market.
  • Lead and oversee 80+ associates across warehouse and logistics functions throughout all Los Angeles market facilities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the market’s management team, including Operations Manager(s) and, as applicable, Delivery/Logistics Manager(s) and Warehouse Manager(s) at facilities without an Operations Manager.
