Job expectations include influencing decisions, ensuring governance, tracking success measures, mitigating risks, and driving innovation through continuous improvement and change leadership. SCCS Platform and Product Oversight Strategy Organization is looking for an experienced business and operations leader. This individual is responsible for managing how a large, complex Platform Controls & Oversight organization operates day ‑ to ‑ day. The role partners closely with senior leadership to ensure priorities are clearly defined, decisions are translated into action, and execution occurs with discipline, urgency, and accountability across a highly regulated space. The role is accountable for enforcing operating discipline, sharpening accountability, and ensuring the organization spends time on the right work, in the right forums, with clear ownership. This role does not own performance measurement, dashboards, or metrics. Instead, it ensures leaders are held accountable to commitments, decisions are acted upon, and outcomes are delivered predictably across product, operations, technology, and control partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in senior operations, executive enablement, and/or program leadership.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with senior executives and operating as a trusted proxy.
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce accountability, manage conflicting priorities, and drive execution without formal authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong judgment and discretion.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity combined with a bias toward action and decisiveness.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting an online brokerage, investment platform, broker‑dealer, or wealth management business.
  • Exposure to control, supervision, regulatory, or risk‑governed environments where execution discipline is critical.
  • Prior experience functioning as an informal or formal staff chief, executive operations lead, or senior integrator.
  • Strong executive presence with the confidence to challenge constructively, escalate when needed, and protect leadership focus.
  • Demonstrated calm and effectiveness in high‑pressure, high‑visibility situations.
  • Series 7, 66, 9/10, 4 and 24 FINRA licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the executive’s proxy for managing day-to-day operational execution, prioritization, and decision flow.
  • Control intake of requests, shaping issues, and determining what requires leadership attention vs. delegation.
  • Ensures focus on highest-value decisions and outcomes, not coordination.
  • Translate leadership direction into executable plans with clear owners, timelines, escalation paths, and completion criteria.
  • Rigorously inspect follow-through on leadership commitments; surface slippage early and drive corrective action.
  • Enforce clarity of ownership across initiatives, issues, and commitments – eliminating ambiguity and diffusion of accountability.
  • Identify areas where operating discipline breaks down and implement pragmatic improvements to routines, cadence, and ownership.
  • Reduce friction, noise, and redundant forums so leaders spend time executing, not coordinating.
  • Design, run, and continuously improve leadership operating forums (e.g., staff meetings, governance sessions, escalation reviews).
  • Maintain decision logs, action tracking, and closure discipline across leadership forums.
  • Serve as the connective layer across product, operations, technology, risk, compliance, fraud, and supervision teams.
  • Identify dependency risks, competing priorities, or misalignment early and intervene to resolve conflicts before execution stalls.
  • Represent the executive consistently and credibly in cross‑organizational interactions.
  • Coordinate executive response to material issues, regulatory matters, control events, and time‑sensitive escalations.
  • Ensure incidents, issues, and remediation efforts are tightly managed, sequenced, and driven to completion.
  • Partner with executive leader to remove execution blockers and accelerate resolution during high‑pressure situations.
  • Shape executive messaging, talking points, and internal communications to reinforce priorities, expectations, and accountability.
  • Ensure consistent narratives are delivered across forums, teams, and partner organizations.
  • Anticipate questions, risks, and stakeholder concerns before they surface.
  • Develops and implements long-term strategies for a business area
  • Manages complex projects from initiation to delivery ensuring milestones and outcomes are met

  • Influences decision-making and facilitates alignment across teams
  • Drives innovation by championing change and continuous improvement
