This role provides strategic and operational leadership for a high-speed, highly regulated food manufacturing facility specializing in aseptic liquid products, dairy processing, and nutritional food production. The Senior Operations Manager is responsible for driving excellence in safety, food safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development, while ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, HACCP, SQF/FSSC 22000, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Science, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in food, dairy, beverage, nutritional products, or aseptic processing environments.
  • Proven experience leading high-speed, highly regulated manufacturing operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of aseptic processing, dairy manufacturing, nutritional food production, food safety systems, and quality management.
  • Strong track record in operational excellence, continuous improvement, team leadership, and business performance management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production, sanitation, maintenance, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage high-speed aseptic, dairy, and nutritional food production processes to maximize safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FDA, GMP, HACCP, and GFSI-recognized programs.
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and OEE improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve capacity, yield, reliability, cost performance, and customer service.
  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage operational budgets, capital projects, and productivity programs to achieve financial objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, process optimization, and facility expansion initiatives.
  • Champion workplace safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability programs.
