About The Position

The Senior Reconditioning Center Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the Reconditioning Center; regarding people, product, process, and performance. This includes bottom line management, workflow, performance management, inventory control, and quality assurance resolution. The Operations Manager must be able to meet goals and ensure that all vehicles purchased at auction meet DriveTime's standards and are able to come with the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty before they are sent to retail stores for final sale. The role ensures dealerships are consistently supplied with a sufficient variety of high-quality vehicles to meet sales demand by consistently meeting production targets. It also involves achieving bottom line management objectives through effective management of personnel, operating expenses, efficiency, quality, vendor management, and productivity. The manager will work with regional management to identify and communicate process constraints, and will complete recruiting, screening, and hiring of Inspection Center team members using methods designed to reduce turnover and improve performance. Regular meetings with Reconditioning Center staff are required, as is ensuring Team Leads and Operations Managers are effectively mentoring and assessing process adherence, vehicle quality, and labor utilization. The role involves evaluating Reconditioning Center team performance and giving constant, regular, and timely feedback based on observations and performance statistics, as well as assisting in the completion and conduct of performance evaluations. Inventory control measures and best practices are to be executed, along with managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and consumable product ordering and supply levels.

  • 7+ years management experience.

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education which fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
  • Must be able to communicate in English to ensure effective performance of the position in a safety-sensitive/technical environment.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree in business or vocational/technical school preferred.
  • 5-7 years total automotive repair experience.
