About The Position

Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI. We design and operate global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI and robotics teams. Our work sits at the intersection of software, operations, and real-world execution — where reliability, speed, and quality all matter. We operate globally, managing high-throughput workflows across multiple regions and teams. We’re hiring a Senior Operations Lead to own and scale core operational systems across Mecka. This is a high-ownership role responsible for driving throughput, quality, and reliability across our global operations, including data labeling, data capture, and delivery workflows. You will work closely with leadership, engineering, and regional teams to ensure operations run efficiently, scale effectively, and consistently meet performance targets. This role is ideal for someone who can operate at both a strategic and execution level — building systems while ensuring day-to-day operations perform at a high level.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in operations, program management, or similar roles
  • Experience managing large-scale, distributed operations or teams
  • Proven ability to build and scale operational systems
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics, SLAs, and operational KPIs
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product teams

  • Experience in high-throughput environments (data labeling, marketplaces, logistics, BPO, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Global Operations Ownership
  • Own and oversee end-to-end operations across multiple regions and hubs
  • Ensure teams are operating at high performance, reliability, and consistency
  • Standardize processes and ensure alignment across global teams
  • Identify gaps and drive improvements across the entire operational stack
  • Throughput, Quality & Performance
  • Drive improvements in throughput, output quality, and SLA adherence
  • Define and track key metrics across operations
  • Build systems to ensure consistent performance and accountability
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
  • Systems & Process Design
  • Design and implement scalable operational workflows and systems
  • Improve processes across data labeling, data capture, and delivery pipelines
  • Partner with engineering to build tools that improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure systems scale as volume and complexity increase
  • Team Leadership & Management
  • Manage and support regional leads and operations managers
  • Set clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability frameworks
  • Build a culture of high performance and ownership across teams
  • Identify talent gaps and support hiring and team scaling
  • Cross-Functional Execution
  • Work closely with: Engineering Product Customer teams
  • Ensure alignment between technical systems and operational execution
