About The Position

The Venue Operations Assistant is to assist with the excellent care of House of Blues, its infrastructure and appearance. From day-to-day maintenance, to coordinating contractors, compliance with health and safety regulations and conducting continuous improvement strategies, the role is to ensure our venue is presented at the highest standard. The Venue Operations Assistant will conduct daily and weekly routine checks; identify and manage basic repairs; Ensure all areas are clean, tidy and well presented; Ensure highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene practices; supervise deliveries; Communicate plans for improvements and repairs to the facilities manager; effectively interface with venue management, visitors, contractors, clients and Company head office; provide event oversight for facilities department.

  • COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions (State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent Experience in facility operations
  • Ability to read, write and follow written instruction

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance duties according HOB service standards
  • Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to HOB Service Standards
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner
  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
  • Clean and stock line to par throughout shift
  • Keep current on all standard operating procedures
  • Turn all lost and found items in to MOD
  • Attend pre-shift meeting conducted by MOD prior to start of each shift
  • Assist Other Employees as needed
  • Replaces burned out light bulbs or report same to supervisor
  • Maintains service rooms and storage areas in a clean orderly manner
  • Reports all repairs required and safety and fire hazards to supervisor
  • Observes safety standards and practices
  • Performs related duties as required or assigned within job classification
