About The Position

Horizon Media is seeking a Senior OOH Strategist to plan, negotiate, and steward out-of-home media campaigns, develop recommendations and industry points of view, and support client objectives in collaboration with the OOH Supervisor/Associate Director and Business Solutions team. The role maintains account documentation and communications, develops internal and vendor relationships, contributes to strategy and training, and mentors junior team members. The position does not require physical activity. The stated salary range is $66,300 to $80,000, with actual base salary varying based on factors such as skills, experience, training, education, and qualifications.

Understanding of Geopath measurement methodology and other available media research tools and studies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Develop and present strategically focused plans and recommendations with the OOH Supervisor/Associate Director.
Write department points of view on new opportunities and identify trends and opportunities in the industry.
Steward OOH media plans from inception through completion, including issuing RFPs, negotiating media buys, providing research and unit maps, coordinating with the Business Solutions team, overseeing media posting, and managing traffic, production, approvals, and delivery of creative materials.
Participate in market rides when available.
Cross-check plans and supporting documents for accuracy, including billing, specifications, and contracts.
Keep the team updated on deliverable status and timing, and ensure client documents are clear, concise, and client-ready.
Maintain a thorough understanding of account and client nuances.
Manage internal and external relationships and strengthen communication with the Business Solutions team and vendors.
Maintain knowledge of vendors and media formats in relevant markets; attend vendor meetings and presentations as an active client stakeholder.
Guide junior team members through planning and assist with day-to-day account maintenance as needed.
Communicate with senior leads and relay issues and status updates in a timely manner.
Stay current on OOH trends and vendor offerings; continue learning about the media industry, Horizon Media, and its clients, and participate in training programs.
Participate in strategy development and brainstorming with the Business Solutions team, collaborate with vendors on innovative ideas, and educate the team on OOH processes and developments.
Oversee contracting for approved media buys and ensure process adherence; oversee Assistant Strategist follow-up on signed ATBs and countersigned contracts.
Guide the team in setting goals, project tasks, and timelines; educate team members on best practices and media principles; participate in interviews for Assistant/Planner roles.
