About The Position

Requirements
- Native-level English fluency is required.
- Proficient in the nuances of required languages including grammar and journalism editing standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience in writing, editing and/or journalism is highly preferred.
- DoW Secret clearance
- US Citizenship Required
Nice To Haves
- Regional language fluency preferred but not required.
- Regional languages sought, fluency preferred but not required: Arabic
Responsibilities
- Identifies and applies established style guide to non-conforming submissions.
- Verifies translations, makes recommendations to customer regarding disposition of reader comments, researches news content to ensure conformance to program guidelines regarding sourcing, libel, and plagiarism, monitors the regional press, finds instances of content propagation, and provides analysis on the reprinting source, and executes technical tasks utilizing locally developed tools associated with internet-based publications.
- Fills in for the Assignment Editor, responsible for building and maintaining the correspondent network and coordinating the article submission process and communication with the project network.
