About The Position
WHP has an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented and creative News Editor. This role involves editing and shooting video for daily news coverage, special projects, digital videos, and sweep period pieces. The News Editor will also be responsible for taking in news feeds from various sources, collaborating with internal teams on video elements, and meeting daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- College degree or minimum one (1) year relative experience in the field
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and editing technology is a definite plus
- Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
Responsibilities
- Editing and shooting video for daily news coverage, special projects, digital videos and sweep period pieces
- Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
- Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
- Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
