Your recruiter will be able to clarify expectations and answer any questions you have. We’re looking for a Senior NPI Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team at PSA. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the center of PSA’s product development and manufacturing operations — responsible for qualifying parts, standing up new tooling, and ensuring flawless design transfer to domestic and international suppliers. You’ll report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and work from our Santa Ana, CA office.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product launch roles in a high-precision, high-volume environment
  • Proven experience managing large-scale injection molding tooling programs
  • Fluent in PPAP/FAI, GD&T, and supplier qualification processes
  • Strong cross-functional project management skills; able to hold global suppliers to schedule and quality commitments
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ultrasonic welding is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global part qualification process end-to-end, driving cycle time and removing bottlenecks
  • Lead implementation of new injection molding tool sets from kick-off through production release
  • Manage new design transfers to domestic and international offices, ensuring process requirements are validated before handoff
  • Partner with product development and operations to execute smooth NPI handoffs from DFM through first article
  • Define and deploy global standards of work for NPI, building repeatable playbooks across all supplier sites
