NPI (New Product Introduction) Planner coordinates and manages the planning, scheduling, and material readiness for new product launches, ensuring smooth transitions from development to manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data, forecast demand, and optimize material flow
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, capacity planning, and inventory management tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed product schedules, translating master production schedules into executable work orders and shop floor plans to support daily production and on-time product releases
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, production, and business teams to manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept through launch
  • Track hardware requirements, manage procurement, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure inventory readiness to meet project timelines
  • Identify potential supply chain or production risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively resolve issues to prevent delays
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, risk assessments, and opportunities for process improvement, often using ERP/MRP systems for data management.
  • Senior NPI Planners may mentor junior planners and provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams.
