About The Position

Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking a Wireless Intrusion Detection Specialist (WIDS)-III responsible for managing up to 20 personnel overseeing the program’s Monitoring and Response (M&R). This role involves designing and deploying functional servers on Linux and Windows operating systems, maintaining system compliance with cyber security standards, monitoring system performance and integrity, and automating tasks. The specialist will also create, oversee, and test security measures, consolidate monthly reports, conduct high-level overviews with government COR and CO, and communicate with users as needed. Maintaining complete technical documentation and suggesting improvements to performance, capacity, and scalability are key aspects of the position. The role may require installing systems in CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations.

Requirements

  • Background and experience in Bastille WIDS administrative functions, metrics, and active M&R.
  • Experience with wireless monitoring equipment to identify unauthorized signals and make recommended mitigations and response.
  • Experience working with the IC and DoD elements and supporting contractor base.
  • Experience in coordinating, collaborating, and deconflicting issues with IC partners.
  • Experience in writing operating procedures and reporting templates.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of National and DoD directives, orders, regulations, and instructions governing the conduct of WIDS activities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of wireless protocols and Radio Frequency (RF) theory.
  • Experience with mobile wireless direction-finding equipment and signal detection, identification, and reporting.
  • Ability to travel worldwide.
  • TS/SCI with Poly security clearance required.
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant area, such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other computer or information technology-related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with a Masters degree.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience with a PhD.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy functional servers on Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Maintain system compliance with cyber security standards and practices.
  • Monitor system performance and integrity.
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery, etc.).
  • Consolidate Monthly Reports, including Contract Status Reports, Program Management Reviews, and other Contract Deliverables in coordination with PM.
  • Conduct High-Level overviews with government COR and CO.
  • Communicate with users when needed.
  • Maintain complete technical documentation.
  • Suggest improvements to performance, capacity and scalability.
  • Install systems in CONUS and potentially OCONUS locations as directed by project PM.
  • Manage up to 20 personnel overseeing the program’s Monitoring and Response (M&R).
  • Ensure best practices are being implemented across the sections in accordance with national and DoD requirements.
  • Support Amentum’s safety culture by maintaining a safe work environment, completing training, and participating in emergency response tasks.
  • Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
