Network Systems Engineer
About The Position
RedSail Technologies, LLC is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to be responsible for a wide range of duties including computer network design, programming, testing, implementing, system administration, and support. This role involves designing computer networks and systems architecture, programming and testing network systems, and implementing and maintaining system administration tasks. The engineer will install operating systems, provide end-user support, establish and maintain network security protocols and policies, and monitor and optimize system performance. Additionally, the position requires creating and managing user accounts, designing and maintaining online web presence, implementing and supporting email servers, and providing LAN/WAN support and network design. The role also includes writing shell scripts, modular programming, process handling, developing and improving network and computer systems, modifying system software, and documenting system modifications and procedures. The engineer will set up computer networks for document storage, transfer, and retrieval, oversee daily computer system performance and troubleshooting, install and configure new equipment and software, and plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Configuring and defining parameters for LAN/WAN installations and interacting with management and users to address concerns and modifications are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Network Engineer, System Administrator, System Engineer, or a closely related occupation.
- Two (2) years experience in network engineering, network security, system performance optimization, LAN/WAN management, and network hardware.
- Two (2) years experience in computer networks, systems administration, and security protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Two (2) years of programming languages and shell scripting to include PowerShell, DOS, C, C#, SQL.
- Certification in Azure Solutions Architect.
