About The Position

The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing the enterprise network infrastructure. This includes ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across data centers, branch locations, and cloud environments. The role involves leading day-to-day network operations, lifecycle management, and providing technical leadership and escalation support. The administrator will also partner with various teams to implement network changes and evaluate new networking technologies.

Requirements

  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of emerging technologies, challenges, and solutions.
  • Capable of quickly learning new technologies and driving adoption, Proof of Concepts with technology teams.
  • Ready to drive/travel across Florida and visit different offices/branches to perform Network related activity.
  • Should be able to carry Network Equipment's, rack/stack and install it across various locations.
  • Should be able to work with Layer-1 and Cabling vendor to perform structured network cabling and physical installation of Wi-Fi access points.
  • Knowledge of Routing & Switching to a CompTIA Network+ or CCNA level or higher.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of experience in the following areas: Cisco and industry standard networking LAN, WAN and wireless protocols (OSI model, TCP/IP protocol, SD-WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, 802.1Q trunk, CDP, LLDP, LACP/LAG, multicast, VLSM and CIDR subnetting, QoS, DSCP, HSRP, etc.).
  • Experience in managing different types of hardware i.e. ISR4300, ISR4200, Catalyst 9k, Catalyst 3650, ASR 1k.
  • Experience in Network monitoring tools i.e. SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA.
  • Cisco Certifications: CCNP or CCDP.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science; MIS, or related field.
  • CCNA certification and SDWAN skills are looked upon favorably.

Responsibilities

  • Design, operate, and optimize the enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across data centers, branch locations, and cloud environments.
  • Lead day to day network operations and lifecycle management, including routing, switching, WAN/LAN, wireless, monitoring, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Ensure network reliability and resiliency, proactively identifying issues, leading root cause analysis, and maintaining redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation support, setting standards, mentoring junior staff, and guiding vendors and managed service providers.
  • Partner with infrastructure, application, and business teams to plan and implement network changes that support enterprise initiatives and minimize operational impact.
  • Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and tools, driving continuous improvement in performance, scalability, and operational efficiency while maintaining accurate documentation.
