About The Position

Provides operational support for enterprise network environments, including network administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and escalation support. Provides network management for Agency LAN/WAN requiring broad and deep knowledge across applicable technologies. Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes, and sets standards for agency LAN/WAN. Maintains a complex range of computer network components and systems. Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity. Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures, including isolated and major outages. Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information, and support to application developers, computer operations, and workstation support.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must Reside in the DMV Area (DC, Maryland, Virginia)
  • Must have a minimum of 10-years Experience
  • 10+ years enterprise network support experience
  • Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Highly Preferred
  • CCNA or equivalent preferred
