About The Position

The Senior .NET Application Development Lead will serve the business unit through the Office of Information Technology, facilitating software development, documenting critical business processes, analyzing business functions for effectiveness and efficiency opportunities, supporting process redesign, and assisting with development and testing. The role ensures adherence to software development standards and may involve analyzing financial systems and related processes as part of an ongoing business transformation. The position serves as a developer, facilitator, and subject matter expert for applications supporting complex financial business processes on large, cross-functional projects. The lead helps ensure robust, scalable solutions are implemented, oversees quality assurance for new code through integration, staging, and production, and contributes to application development and maintenance. The role also supports continuous improvement, process standardization, technical guidance, and collaboration with distributed teams. The stated pay range is $49.00–$54.00 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience as a lead developer or development manager.
At least 5 years of broad experience with development technologies, including Azure SQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases or similar relational databases.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or another related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of relational database terminology and concepts, including SQL proficiency.
Experience developing and maintaining software systems for complex financial business processes.
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to balance multiple demands and work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
Ability to apply research and best practices to problem avoidance and continuous improvement.
Ability to communicate effectively and lead development teams.
Ability to act professionally when dealing with all levels of management and staff.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET is highly desired.
Knowledge of ORMs, Entity Framework, and n-Hibernate is preferred.

Responsibilities

Facilitate software development efforts and document critical business processes.
Analyze current business functions and financial systems to identify effectiveness and efficiency opportunities, and assist with process redesign and re-engineering.
Ensure software development standards are followed.
Develop, maintain, and serve as a subject matter expert for applications that support complex financial business processes.
Contribute to large cross-functional application projects and ensure robust, scalable solutions are implemented.
Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance for new code from inception through integration, staging, and production.
Identify, analyze, and resolve problems using troubleshooting tools and techniques, in collaboration with the team.
Contribute to continuous improvement, including design, roadmap definition, and standardization of processes and methodologies.
Collaborate with developers and architects on guidelines, methodologies, and documentation.
Partner with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure project aspects are communicated, supported, and delivered to high standards.
Develop and apply knowledge of relevant software development trends, technologies, and methodologies.
Assist with software development and testing.
