About The Position

Support the mission of aircraft readiness at Tinker AFB. Join our UDRI team as a Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) Technical Specialist, where you'll play a critical role providing technical content management and program support for Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) activities, develop and maintain Technical Orders, and support advanced NDI programs that enhance the safety and sustainment of Air Force aircraft. This role provides technical content management and program support for Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) activities, including developing and maintaining Technical Orders, coordinating revisions with subject matter experts and engineers, and supporting Enhanced Technical Information Management Systems (ETIMS) access and sustainment. It also serves as an NDI subject matter expert, develops and validates procedures, manages equipment and supplies, and supports Probability of Detection data collection, analysis, and field testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and six years’ experience, OR Master’s degree and five years’ experience, OR 10 years’ demonstrated experience and performance in the NDI field.
  • Extensive knowledge of NDI inspection methods, techniques, equipment, and practices with five years of experience applying at least one of the following methods to evaluation of materials and components: Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Electromagnetic Testing (ET), Radiographic Testing (RT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • Experience with technical content management of technical orders, specifications, or practices related to NDI equipment and processes.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to apply sampling methods; read, interpret, and apply specifications and drawings; knowledge of technical data, such as blueprints, engineering drawings, and microfilm.
  • Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to problem solve independently or with little oversight.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with SharePoint and SharePoint site management.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
