About The Position

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to participate in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and in modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support architecture assessment. The role assesses capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats, and helps develop architecture solutions to mitigate gaps or improve performance. It also supports analysis planning, simulation execution, results assessment, reporting, and tailoring M&S tools to specific analysis plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in missile defense-related work or another complex, large DoD program or project.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience with AFSIM or similar MDS simulation tools or frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in IAMD/Cruise Missile Defense systems.
  • Background or experience with space systems.
  • Experience defining and using advanced concepts and algorithms for modeling and simulation of MDS architectures.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats.
  • Develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate capability gaps or improve performance.
  • Assist in developing analysis plans.
  • Execute MDS simulation tools, post-process and assess analysis results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs and reports.
  • Support modeling and simulation efforts by tailoring tools to specific analysis plans.
