About The Position

The Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters is responsible for providing counseling, education and case management to clients assigned in structured programs of Breakthrough as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, this role is assigned additional leadership and mentoring duties to support the milieu treatment program and to promote growth and increased quality for clients and other Caregivers. Assists leadership in the develop and maintenance of program processes and group curriculum. The Senior Mental Health Counselor Masters demonstrates advanced clinical skills and serves as a resource for other clinicians and exemplifies the Providence Core Values. The Providence Breakthrough program is an intensive outpatient and outpatient substance use treatment program that provides individual, group and relational therapy services.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health related field
• Alaska Masters Social Worker License or Alaska Clinical Social Worker License or Alaska Psychologist License or Alaska Marriage and Family Therapist License or Alaska Professional Counselor License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 5 years clinical experience

Nice To Haves

• Substance abuse counseling experience.
• Group therapy experience.
• Crisis and assessment experience.
