About The Position
The Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist assists the Clinical Specialist with technical supervision of a specific section, performs technical procedures, monitors the section’s daily operations, and provides technical supervision when the Clinical Specialist is absent. The role is with the Clinical Laboratory at St. Joseph Medical Center and is part of Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Graduation from an approved School of Medical Technology.
- Upon hire, hold one of the following California licenses: Clinical Laboratory Scientist; Clinical Chemist Scientist; Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist; Clinical Microbiologist Scientist; Clinical Toxicologist Scientist; Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist; Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist; Clinical Hematology Scientist; Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist; or Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License.
