Medical Laboratory Scientist - Clinical Laboratory
About The Position
The Medical Laboratory Scientist works under the general supervision of the Chief Clinical Laboratory Scientist. The role obtains and processes patient specimens and performs clinical laboratory tests used to diagnose and treat disease. The scientist analyzes, interprets, and reports test results; verifies tests as necessary; and promptly notifies appropriate personnel of critical results with proper documentation. The position provides diagnostic laboratory services for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The position is per-diem and works 8-hour night shifts at Providence Mission-Laguna Beach Hospital in Laguna Beach, California. Requirements
- Education sufficient to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
- Upon hire, a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
