About The Position

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, providing a multitude of care options to the communities they serve. These clinics include over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, offering opportunities for employees to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. The Senior Medical Dosimetrist, under the direction of a medical physicist and a radiation oncologist, is responsible for accurately acquiring and interpreting patient data and generating/coordinating individualized treatment plans. This role requires knowledge of treatment planning techniques and the physical characteristics of equipment utilized. Additionally, the dosimetrist must accurately calculate and document treatment machine settings and parameters as required for the prescribed delivery of radiation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Physical/Life Science or radiation therapy program
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry JRCERT accredited program of at least 12 months
• 5 years of relevant experience Radiation Oncology as a Medical Dosimetrist
• CRT-Medical Dosimetrist - MDCB Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of treatment planning techniques and the physical characteristics of equipment utilized, to accurately acquire and interpret patient data and generate/coordinate individualized treatment plans.
• Accurately calculates and documents treatment machine settings and parameters as required for the delivery of radiation as prescribed.
