As a member of the health care team, this role assists in coordinating the examination, treatment, and health care planning for patients under the direction of a provider. The position also supports other office functions to ensure patient care and office operations run smoothly, adhering to all established protocols, policies, procedures, and standardized workflows. This role involves preparing patients for visits, documenting vital signs and patient history, preparing exam rooms, and potentially serving as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) superuser. The Senior Medical Assistant will also assist with screenings, administer medications, manage medical supplies, clean and sterilize instruments, and serve as a peer mentor for new medical assistants and students.
