We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) – Women’s Health to join our care team. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions within our Women’s Health department, assisting providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited school with a Medical Assistant Certification
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a Women’s Health or OB/GYN setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and women’s health procedures
Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and organization

Responsibilities

Document patient information accurately and timely in the EHR
Complete intake for new and returning patients
Prepare patients and assist providers during women’s health exams
Set up and assist with procedures including pelvic exams, Pap smears, IUDs, Nexplanon, and biopsies
Administer vaccines and perform screening procedures
Draw blood and complete standing orders safely and accurately
Participate in daily huddles and support care team coordination
Schedule follow-up appointments and support patient flow
Address barriers to care and support treatment compliance
Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
Coordinate with labs and external partners as needed
Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines
