We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) – Women’s Health to join our care team. This role supports both clinical and administrative functions within our Women’s Health department, assisting providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school with a Medical Assistant Certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a Women’s Health or OB/GYN setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and women’s health procedures
  • Proficient in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and organization

Responsibilities

  • Document patient information accurately and timely in the EHR
  • Complete intake for new and returning patients
  • Prepare patients and assist providers during women’s health exams
  • Set up and assist with procedures including pelvic exams, Pap smears, IUDs, Nexplanon, and biopsies
  • Administer vaccines and perform screening procedures
  • Draw blood and complete standing orders safely and accurately
  • Participate in daily huddles and support care team coordination
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and support patient flow
  • Address barriers to care and support treatment compliance
  • Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Coordinate with labs and external partners as needed
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines
