As part of the overall Technology Client Services group, the Senior (Sr.) Media Technology Specialist is a well-rounded, departmental leader, project manager and industry subject matter expert. The Sr. Specialist performs in multiple areas including, leading efforts to plan, install, refresh and support both traditional and hyflex technology, digital signage, and computing on campus. The Sr. Specialist is an organized and professional project manager with the ability to efficiently document project and program statuses, ensure ROI on university investments, manage beneficial vendor and other partner relationships. The Sr. Specialist will have advanced project management capabilities, vast industry knowledge of digital and analog signal flow, control programs and configurations, hyflex and traditional audio system DSP and all related applications. The Sr. Specialist will perform integration tasks at an advanced level to ensure success of all media & A/V programs and functions. Job Description The Sr. Specialist will Provide leadership and technical expertise in support of the University Technology Enhanced Space Management Program for both Classroom & Hyflex Learning, and Administration & Event spaces on campus. The Sr. Specialist will: Lead the execution of media and A/V projects to implement new, and refresh existing tech-enabled spaces on campus, including conducting physical and software installations for related tasks and projects, ensuring timely communications, developing full project documentation, conducting ongoing program reporting, metrics and predictive analytics, and leading training and instructional programs for constituents on user operation of installed technology. Oversee installation and integration partners, vendors, trades, and contracted support. 45% Research, design and recommend current and emerging technology solutions in both hyflex and traditional technology enabled spaces on campus, to include media & A/V related computing, presentation, video services, sound systems and audio reinforcement. Conduct advanced programming and configuration of all devices to ensure successful integration for all projects. Consult and collaborate with university constituents on related projects for campus media, A/V and event technology improvements. Represent the Client Services Media & A/V group in collaborative efforts with University sustainability and technology lifecycle programs, digital signage initiatives, expanding hospitality-related facilities, and work with additional committees as assigned. 25% Oversee and execute the resolution of media & A/V related incident and service escalations, to include expert level technical support, equipment / system maintenance, repair and functionality testing, and quality assurance. Monitor and process incident and service requests that occur within all Media & A/V programs, acting as an escalation point for related service requests coming from the ITS Client Services Center. Develop and improve the phone/email/ticket escalation process within this program. Train, coach, mentor, and oversee the day-to-day tasks and projects of junior staff, student-staff, temporary, contracted or freelance resources on all related job functions. 25% Other departmental duties as required. 5%
