About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer to work remotely within the United States or in a hybrid arrangement from one of its U.S. hub offices. The designer prepares, modifies, coordinates, and reviews process piping and equipment designs for power generation and industrial manufacturing facilities. The role includes preparing PFDs and P&IDs under the supervision of a process engineer; laying out complex piping systems and equipment in a 3D environment; and preparing isometric drawings with bills of materials. The position works with internal resources and third-party providers on 3D scanning and point-cloud conversions, selects piping components, and coordinates process-system requirements with architectural and electrical disciplines. The designer reviews construction progress in the field and participates in system commissioning. The role involves client and contractor interaction, independent and team-based work, and mentoring colleagues across offices. Travel to client sites is required, and overtime may be necessary depending on workload.
